Project 1: Coming of Age Short Film
Concept: Create an entire project, from start to finish solely using AI tools. Use as many AI tools as you'd need through every step of the process to achieve the desired outcome.
Project Scope: This project intended to capture the essence of a child, born into two different cultures/ cultural backgrounds, and how to navigate life, discovering and learning about both cultures and the effects of it on their life experiences portrayed through a film. The film would be dedicated to my sister’s unborn child capturing the essence of what life would be like for them.AI Tools: Runway ML (scene animation as well as stringing together the short film),

Challenges: he main challenge I experienced while dabbling with AI is the creation of black characters. Because my stories were anchored in my heritage, as a black creator, easily seamlessly reflecting my image through AI was a challenge as I had to train ad constantly retrain the AI tools to produce the results I wanted.

Project 2: Design Process Reimagined
Project Scope: Reimagine and present your design process and area of interest as a designer in a unique manner.
Concept: To highlight my process as a designer who is keen on storytelling through her projects, by creating a comic book, portraying a project I undertook and the process that I went through from beginning to completion.
AI Tools: Open AI's DALL E
Supplementary AI Tools: Figma
Challenges: Generating scenes and images that presented a unified outlook. This required a lot of training of the AI, feeding similar material into it, as well as tons of regeneration to produce the desired outcome.

Project 3: Sketching into 3D Modeling
Project Scope: Use AI tools only to complete a sketch into a 3D model. Beginning the process with sketching, write code and use AI systems to refine the code to be modeled in 3D softwares eventually proceeding to product development.
Product concept: Light sources
AI Tools: ChatGPT (to refine the code), Blender's AI integration to model the sketches to 3D
Supplementary AI Tools: Vizcom, Krea, Midjourney
Challenges: The code transferred into the 3D software had to be precise and compatible with the software. This required several trials just to get right.
Code refined in ChatGPT, then inserted into Blender to be modeled & the initial result of the code
Eventual 3D Model generated on Blender to be used for product development
